With world demand for ever-increasing
energy needs, cost effective extractable fossil fuels that become harder
to obtain and extract, environmental restrictions and concerns, there is
great need for renewable and alternative energy. More resources of
energy will eventuality have to be explored. With need comes
opportunity. We foresee Idaho as a leader in the development and
application of alternative fuels and sources of energy. The leaders of
these technologies today will be the suppliers of tomorrow. Idaho needs
to be at the forefront of supplying and developing resources for the
future.
We do not have to give-up the comforts of
life but we may have to amend how we access those comforts. The various
environmental protection agencies must realize in order to protect the
environment in the long run; it is to create an environment where clean,
reliable, and
renewable energy are easily produced.
We need environmental
stability as well as economic security that are in support of one
another. We need both and it is irresponsible to sacrifice one for
another. We need to help create and establish alternative energy
resources and industries for economic, environmental, and national
security. We need to explore energy solutions that are environmentally
stable and economically secure by introducing plans that promote energy
independence and employment security. If
we want more financially and ecologically sound energy and materials we
must meet the industry with the need of the ever-increasing demand for
energy and products. We
need to speed up the process of exploring
long-term sources of energy and exploring ways to make them more
reliable and less expensive to produce.
If we
want clean, reliable, renewable or alternative energy that is cost
effective and more environmentally friendly we have to
create an environment that encourages it and
start when and wherever we can. We have
to create an environment that encourages businesses and programs that
produce or encourage it, but more importantly create infrastructure.
We need to promote renewable energy supplies/markets that provide
energy resources for National, Environmental, and Economic Security –
whatever that may be.
The solution will
come from a combination and utilization of all renewable, clean and alternative
resources. Relying on one particular energy resource is not the answer,
no matter what that may be. Although we may disagree what
renewable, clean or alternative energies are more effective, efficient,
promising, and environmentally safe and economical, any stable gain is
beneficial. We need to focus on all the various renewable energy
resources. All renewable and clean naturally replenishing sources of energy need
to be explored. Renewable or clean energy markets of tomorrow will be a
combination of all. Support for all of the various types of renewable
and/or clean energy industries will be needed to contribute in creating
environmental stability and economic security.
Encouraged
Policies:
· Help
encourage and promote Idaho’s energy independence.
· Help
introduce, encourage, promote and explore incentives, plans and energy
solutions that promote energy independence, energy supply security,
environmental stability, and economic/employment security. Let us create
infrastructure.
· Help
support Idaho to be at the forefront of supplying and developing new
resources for the future.
· Help
Idaho’s’ energy efficiently and conversion to renewable, clean, and
alternative energy that is used for individual, homeowner, and consumer
uses for public and private use.
· Help
reduce the taxes and supplement the individual homeowner for more
efficient energy use and to produce self-sustaining renewable energy
rather than supplement power companies every year or so. Let us create
some infrastructure. Let’s make the power and energy companies brokers
of energy supplies, instead of brokers of energy shortages and debt.
·
Tax breaks on energy independence and efficiently used for individual,
homeowner, and consumer for public and private use.
· Create
opportunities and energy efficiency for renewable, clean and alternative
energy in Idaho through tax breaks and incentives for both public and
private use.
· Work
on eliminating state taxes on various aspects, products and applications
of renewable energy for both public and private use. Including:
resources provided; development; products/materials specifically used in
the creation, production and distribution to the point of sale of these
products.
· Help
stimulate and create new industry, employment and business opportunities
encouraging and involving various aspects and application of renewable,
clean and alternative energy opportunities.
· Help
create new industry/employment opportunities in Idaho by helping to
establishing Idaho as major processor, exporter and
competitive center for these much
needed emerging
renewable, clean and alternative energy technologies and supply markets.
· Help
search out ways to export these products, whenever and wherever
possible. It would be a great boost to Idaho’s economy to have a
‘corner’ on some of these emerging markets. These are the markets of the
future and Idaho deserves its place in history.
· Help
Explore and reduce costs for effective and reliable renewable,
alternative and clean public and private transportation.
· Help
continue establishing minimums for ethanol content and other renewable
and/or clean energy in Idaho.
· Extend tax breaks for renewable and/or
clean energy. Extend tax breaks and incentives for renewable energy,
installation and parts used in systems that utilize all other forms of
renewable and/or clean energies as well as alternative energy and/or
clean efficient vehicles.
Economic:
· It
will help create less expensive energy supplies for the average citizen.
· It
will help create jobs in alternative energy industry and supplies
fields.
· It
will help establish Idaho as a major producer and lead developer of
renewable and alternative energies.
·
It will help create less expensive delivery supplies.
· It
will help give energy industries, automakers and other transportation
industries, at the very least; a chance to change, grow and be prepared
for the employment and consumer market of Americans in the future.
· It
will help give auto, transportation industries and energy industries
(especially renewable and alternative), a tax break for research and
development to make alternative fuels and sources of energy more
practical and functional.
· It
will help stimulation of the farming industry due to cheaper crop
production and the recycling of biomass from waist products for biomass fuels, bio-diesel, ethanol, other forms of energy
and other products.
· It
will help stimulation of other forms of industry that depend on energy,
by making alternative forms of energy more easily assessable.
· It
will help short-term solutions while our research and development catch
up with demand and practicability of renewable and alternative unlimited
energy supplies.
· It
will help reduce taxes for the manufacturing and equipment for renewable
and alternative energy products that would boost a variety of
industries.
· Less
expensive energy and fuels will benefit all industries.
Environment:
· It
will help us on the road for reduced emissions and alternative fuels.
· It
will help create more renewable and alternative energy industries, a
break from taxes for research, development and refinement to make
alternatives to fossil fuels more practical and functional.
· It
will help speed up short-term solutions, leading to the conversion of
utilizing alterative fuels.
·
It will help create more non-intrusive energy supplies.
Security:
· It
will help create more self-sustaining energy supplies not reliant on
foreign disposition.
· It
will help create infrastructure and contingencies for the production of
energy supplies/distribution against threats of national, state and
natural disaster.
· It
will help create a back up of energy production and supply against power
grid failures.
· It
will help communities to produce their own stable and clean energy
supplies to meet needs.
· It
will help establish private citizens as excess suppliers of energy for
power companies to broker.
· It
will help establish more stable energy supplies for consumers.
